作为西安交通大学第四届国际月系列活动的重要组成部分,——2025年全球暑期学校“人工智能与智能机器人”课程于2025年7月27日圆满结束。该课程由西安交通大学机械工程学院机器人与智能系统研究所副所长、生机电融合与服务机器人创新研究团队负责人张小栋教授主持,并邀请世界知名机器人学专家、英国埃塞克斯大学胡豁生教授为主要讲席嘉宾共同开展教学。课程采用理论教学与仿真实践相结合的创新模式,聚焦学科交叉融合,吸引了全球范围内百余名高校学生、科研人员及行业工程师参与学习,坚持到最后能够完成课程考核的线下校内人数32人,线上校外人数30人。

课程精心设计两大核心模块:
人工智能与智能机器人理论课程:由胡豁生教授全程线上直播授课,系统讲授人工智能基础、智能控制、数据驱动决策、机器人操作系统、导航与路径规划、模糊控制、人机交互等核心知识。该模块面向全球开放,吸引了众多国际学员在线学习。


仿真实验实践课程:由张小栋教授及其助教赵子瑞博士生在西安交通大学创新港校区2-3002教室线下开展。聚焦机器人操作系统应用、编程、PID控制、模糊控制、激光扫描导航等核心技术,学员通过深度仿真实验操作,巩固理论知识,提升动手能力,并最终完成实践报告。


课程采用“线上理论直播+线下实验辅导”的混合教学模式。胡豁生教授的精彩理论课与张小栋教授团队的线下实验辅导相得益彰,确保学员充分消化吸收并进行实操演练。

Xi'an Jiaotong University's 2025 Global Summer School Course on "Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Robotics" Concludes Successfully
As a key component of Xi'an Jiaotong University's fourth International Month series of events, the 2025 Global Summer School course on "Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Robotics" concluded successfully on July 27. The course was hosted by Professor Zhang Xiaodong, Deputy Director of the Robotics Institute at the School of Mechanical Engineering and leader of the Bio-inspired Mechatronics and Service Robotics Innovation Research Team. It also featured collaborative teaching by Professor Hu Huosheng, a robotics expert from the University of Essex in the UK. The course adopted an innovative model combining theoretical instruction and simulation practice, focusing on interdisciplinary integration, and attracted hundreds of university students, researchers, and industry engineers from around the world.
1. Top-Tier Faculty Leading the Way, Creating an International Cutting-Edge Course
The course was meticulously designed around two core modules:
Theoretical Course on Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Robotics: Delivered entirely via live online lectures by Professor Hu Huosheng, this module systematically covered core topics such as the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, intelligent control, data-driven decision-making, robot operating systems, navigation and path planning, fuzzy control, and human-robot interaction. Open to a global audience, it attracted numerous international participants.


Simulation and Practical Experiment Course: Conducted offline on the Xi'an Jiaotong University campus by Professor Zhang Xiaodong and his teaching assistant team, including instructor Zhao Zirui. This module focused on key technologies such as robot operating system applications, programming, PID control, fuzzy control, and laser scanning navigation. Through in-depth simulation experiments, participants consolidated their theoretical knowledge, enhanced their hands-on skills, and ultimately completed practical reports.


The course employed a blended teaching model of "online theoretical lectures + offline experimental guidance." Professor Hu Huosheng's engaging theoretical sessions complemented the offline experimental tutoring provided by Professor Zhang Xiaodong's team, ensuring participants fully absorbed the material and engaged in practical exercises.

The course placed strong emphasis on integrating theory with practice and fostering substantial skill development among participants. Each theoretical lecture was paired with corresponding offline simulation experiments, enabling participants to promptly apply cutting-edge knowledge to simulated scenarios and master core professional skills such as robot data processing, navigation, programming, and control.
The course also facilitated international academic exchange and interaction. Through dedicated platforms such as a QQ group, participants from diverse global backgrounds engaged in academic discussions and problem-solving with the professors and teaching assistants, creating a vibrant international learning atmosphere.
Participants who completed all course requirements and passed the assessmentswillreceive official certificates issued by Xi'an Jiaotong University, marking a milestone in their studies in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics.
